Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,
The ILR School attracts phenomenal students who go on to do incred-
ible things. Many then share their talents generously with the school.
ILR benefts greatly when I am able to work with such smart, thought-
ful, caring people.
The winners of this year's Groat and Alpern awards, honored March 27
at The Pierre in New York City, are prime examples.
Pam Kimmet '80, chief human resource offcer at Coca-Cola Enter-
prises and recipient of the 2014 Groat Award, has provided strategic
counsel to help us retain and recruit outstanding faculty members.
K. Lisa Yang '74, a former investment banker and recipient of the
2014 Alpern Award, has engaged with the Employment and Disabil-
ity Institute to help grow its offerings and advocacy opportunities for
students.
Other examples are:
• Beth Florin MS '85, managing director of a compensation
consulting frm, who encouraged us to begin, and then expand,
our web-based offerings.
• Attorney Diane Rosen '78 and fnancial adviser Joanne Jensen
'84, who provide high-level development strategy as members of
the ILR Advisory Council.
• Jay Waks '68, Law '71, a New York City attorney who shares best
practices in outreach and philanthropy.
Along with contributing talent to our efforts, alumni speak to
classes, serve as mentors and offer internships. In so doing, they
nurture tomorrow's thought leaders, continuing the cycle.
